Greg is an Instrument Rated, Commercial Pilot having earned his Private Pilot license in Pensacola, Fl. He is currently Instructing as a CFII and Certified Cirrus Standardized Instructor Pilot out of Asheville Regional Airport (KAVL) focusing on individuals pursuing their Private Pilot Certificate, Instrument Rating, Commercial Pilot Certificate or seeking to gain Mountain Flying experience. He also administers Instrument Proficiency Checks and Flight Reviews.

Private Pilots

NC Mountain Aero operates under the regulations outlined in 14 CFR Part 61, employing a structured and standardized approach to prepare the Private Pilot student for a successful check-ride. As the recommending Instructor, it is my responsibility to ensure that candidates for the Private Pilot Certificate can consistently demonstrate all required tasks in accordance with the Private Pilot Practical Test Standard.
Based out of Asheville, NC (KAVL) Regional Airport, our training program offers an ideal environment for Private Pilot Certification. Serving as the third largest airport in North Carolina, Asheville’s Class C airspace necessitates proficiency in radio communication skills and competence in operating within a controlled environment, where strict adherence to ATC instructions and clearances is essential.
Furthermore, the region boasts several practice areas and numerous uncontrolled airports, providing diverse training environments to enhance skill development. The training experience in Asheville demands rigor and discipline to ensure safe and effective operations within Class C airspace. Instrument Rating

Mountain Flying
